With a rich history of knowledge, we Indian boast a lot about our Educational system. But many immigrants who settle in UK, and get the change to study in both environments, consider the UK’s education system more practical and unforceful. Examining the differences between our educational systems with rest of the developed nations like USA /UK / Australia/Canada, We have a listed a few obvious tips India needs to improve on.





1.The education system in India lacks creativity. The approach is more theoretical rather than practical. The UK’s Education system make education more interesting by implementing the knowledge practically.








2. Education in India is more of a formality. No matter you want or not, you have to study. It becomes an everyday schedule. Countries like UK, USA and Canada take education as a learning process.





3. Here in India, there are a limited prospects of professional courses, with only Medical, Engineering and CA, leading the list. If you aren’t any of them, you are to be demeaned. But abroad, a doctor gets the same respect as a musician does. Also music, art and sports are considered to be a respectable career option there.





4. In UK, there is free primary education given to kids and is included in the law, to minimize child labor. Indian education on the other hand has become a business now. Even the though the teachers aren’t being paid well, the fee structure and other expenses are too costly for a middle class person to afford.





5. In UK, you are free to choose your own course and interest, whereas in India, your family, including relatives, take decision of which course is best for you, in most of the cases. Also following the trend is a big flaw in our society. People don’t bother to know what the kid wants.





6. The students in India are forced to memorize each and everything and produce it on paper during exams. Passing exams and scoring good marks are the main purpose of those assessments. But Europeans believe in practical implementation of knowledge.





7. Old technology is what fills our books, whereas the Europeans update their educational syllabus according to the new trends and technologies which are developed.
There are plenty of reasons why UK’s educational systems are better than us and there is no shame in adapting good thing from others. So wait till our system changes, or immigrate to study abroad, for new experience and a unique exposure.
